This year's Marketing State Award - the highest distinction of the Republic of Austria for especially sustainable and innovative marketing achievements - was awarded to Frauscher Shipyard during the festive Monday night gala. The 90-year family business based in Upper Austrian Ohlsdorf prevailed over renowned competitors with its project "Market introduction of the Frauscher 1414 Demon".
The jury of 15 experts explained its decision with the long-term marketing achievement: “The strategic positioning for Frauscher was expanded from ‘boats for lakes only’ to the global strategy ‘boats for all waters’. With a sales share of 30 %, the powerful motor boat managed to be the most important model of Frauscher Shipyard right from the start since its introduction in the beginning of 2016.”
“The award has once again shown that well-founded and innovative marketing concepts are a guarantor for the economic success of domestic companies, especially in a difficult environment,” AMC President Mag. Georg Wiedenhofer explained the importance of the state award. The state award is organised by the Austrian Marketing Confederation and hosted by the ministry of economics.
“We already received some important awards for our boats in the past years – for instance the Power Boat of the Year award and the Best of Boats award. We are extremely delighted that our marketing achievement now receives a special honour.” Susanne Schirl and Florian Helmberger, responsible for marketing at Frauscher Shipyard, raved about the distinction.
