In its 90th anniversary year the exclusive Frauscher Shipyard is expanding its product spectrum by launching another day cruiser that is loaded with features: the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air. The 8.6 metre motor yacht combines the premium design and top-class handling characteristics of the closed model – the legendary Frauscher 858 Fantom – with an even more spacious design and additional first-class details.
During the Yachting Festival de Cannes Frauscher Shipyard invited selected media to celebrate the launch of the new 858 Fantom Air. In front of the famous harbor scenery the guests got satisfied of the premium design, the high functionality and the excellent driving pleasure.
Especially the teak bathing deck in the stern, adjoined by spacious, comfortably lounge areas in the bow and stern as well as two Bimini awnings that can be opened within seconds convinced the guests. The striking LED-accented centre helm offers ample space for two and makes the day cruiser an absolute eye-catcher on any water.
Michael Frauscher explains: “With the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air we hope to continue the success of the 686 Lido, the 747 Mirage Air and the 1017 Lido – all yachts with a centred exposed helm – of which we have sold more then 200 in recent years. The 858 Fantom Air is yet another model that is ideal for a quiet picnic in the bay or for an adventurous sprint through the waves.”
The Air variant was developed by the successful trio that designed the Frauscher 858 Fantom consisting of Thomas Gerzer, the long-time head of development at Frauscher Shipyard, the yacht design engineer Harry Miesbauer, who is responsible for the hull design, and the renowned design partner KISKA.
