CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL // 10TH – 15TH SEPTEMBER 2024 Are you ready for CYF 2024?
The Frauscher shipyard will be represented with its highly successful boats at the YACHTING FESTIVAL in CANNES!
The Austrian shipyard is also focusing on renewable emotions at this year’s Yachting Festival in Cannes: with spectacular cooperation in the field of nautical e-mobility and design with a love of progress. Frauscher will be supported by its new sales partners Messink Yachting from the Netherlands and Asmira Marine from Turkey, who will also be on site.
Innovation and perfection
The new Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air embodies the perfect symbiosis of emission-free e-drive technology and a sporty lifestyle. Managing Director Stefan Frauscher on the cooperation with the sports car manufacturer: “Frauscher has held a special position in the nautical world for years: On the one hand, we have been specialists in electric boats since 1955 – on the other hand, Frauscher is renowned for high-performance motorboats, even in rough waters. As the only yard that understands both worlds, we were the ideal partner for Porsche to develop an electric boat with the power of a motorboat.”
The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air will be on display both on land and in the water for test drives. At the same time, the first final boats will be handed over to customers in September. As part of the development work in recent months, Frauscher and Porsche are particularly proud that the performance has been significantly improved once again: instead of the originally planned 550 NM torque, customers now have a full 700 NM at their disposal – in addition to the further improved acceleration, the 400 kW drive system also enables a top speed of over 90 km/h or 49 knots.
New capacity for e-mobility
Frauscher boats are manufactured in one of the most modern yards in Europe, in Ohlsdorf, Austria. The production area was significantly expanded in 2024. The Yachting Festival provides the ideal setting to celebrate this new capacity. The boat manufacturer is using the additional space to focus more on building electric boats, thus sending a clear signal for sustainable mobility on the water. The most prominent example is the new Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air.
Design that makes progress tangible
Another highlight in Cannes is the Frauscher 1212 Ghost Air. With its generous space, the open motorboat redefines the experience on the water, both on deck and inside. What has remained is the striking Frauscher design language – topped with a lightweight T-top made of full carbon on request – and its unsurpassed handling. The airy walk-around concept has already caused a sensation with awards in Genoa and Berlin.
Frauscher also demonstrates its design expertise with the Frauscher 1017 GT. The facelift of the most successful motorboat in its class celebrated its world premiere at the beginning of the year and is based on its larger sister model, the Frauscher 1414 Demon. It combines dynamic lines with side air intakes on the body, a luxurious amount of space, and breathtaking performance. The Frauscher top model also has a great new feature: the boat can now be ordered with a hydraulic bathing platform that can be lowered for more bathing fun or raised to safely reach a high harbor wall. Thanks to its stable design and high load limit, the bathing platform can also be used for transporting PWCs such as jet skis.
All boats listed are available for test drives on the water.
